For some of us, using a computer is enough of a mystery that we don’t need any more secrets. Hey, not everyone grew up using PC’s. The rest of us love to use our computers and are looking for fun tricks to make our experience streamlined. 5 Helpful PC Secrets You Didn’t Know
Using Emojis When Typing
Did you know emojis aren’t exclusively for iPhone or iMessage? That’s right, you can access emojis on your desktop PC keyboard by simply pressing the Windows Button + . 😂😂🤣🤣😒😒😁😁💕💕 (pretty cool huh?). Just to be clear you hold down the windows button and press the period key to access these emojis.
Create Your Own Custom Shortcut

A lot of the shortcuts I’ve covered are pre-existing in the PC software, but did you know you can create your own shortcut? Here’s how:
Right click on an app on your PC
Click on “properties”
Go to the “Shortcut” tab
In the “Shortcut key” bar insert a custom shortcut of your choosing
Access the app using this shortcut anytime you need
Run a Free Virus Scan on Your PC

All Windows’s PCs have a built-in computer virus scanner. To run your virus scanner, press the Window’s Button + R. At this point a “Run” screen will open up which you will type in “mrt” and click “Ok”. A security scan will then run on your computer. It may take some time so don’t plan to do this when you need to use your computer within the next 10 minutes.
Change the Size of Your Mouse Pointer

For those of us who need larger font, there’s a setting to increase the size of the pointer. Go to your settings, search for “mouse pointer and touch”, and there you will be able to alter your cursor size. You can also change the style of your pointer if you want to impress your friends.
Easily Surf All Your Opened Tabs
If you’re the kind of guy or gal who has dozens of tabs open, you might want an easier way to find an opened tab without having to click through each one. When you press Alt + Tab your screen will showcase all your opened tabs in a larger view so you can easily click from tab to tab.
